That stain is telling you something
A brown ring on the ceiling means water is getting in from above — a roof leak, a bathroom leak, or a pipe in the floor above. The stain is the symptom. The water pooled above the drywall is the problem.
A ceiling bulging with trapped water can collapse. If yours is sagging or dripping, put a bucket under it, stay clear, and call (301) 679-9193.
What we do
We find how far the water spread with moisture meters, drain trapped water safely, remove drywall that cannot be saved, and dry the framing and insulation above. Then it is ready for a drywall crew to patch and paint.
Small stains can sometimes be dried in place. Big ones mean cutting out the damaged section. We will show you the readings and explain which one yours is.
